Welcome to Divine Birthworks

I am a mother of nine and passionate about childbirth and everything it encompasses! Along with my nine successful pregnancies, I have experienced the pain of three miscarriages. I had my first baby in the hospital, with a midwife, and my last baby in the hospital with an OB. I birthed the seven, in-between, at home, some with just my husband and myself, and a few with friends and assistants. Even before I had my own babies, there was always something that intrigued me when my friends were having babies. I have always had a love for pregnancy/childbirth.  Over the years, a passion has grown and my desire to assist in childbirth, intensified.

I have been a DONA trained birth doula (birth assistant) for over ten years and now a childbirth educator. Regardless of what kind of pregnancy or birth,  we all have one thing in common-Fear of the unknown. Fear can be our worst enemy, therefore, obtaining knowledge can dispel fear. Knowledge will empower us!  I will provide childbirth classes unlike your grandmother's Lamaze class. My classes are exciting and "outside the box." Whether it is providing you with  information, training or encouragement, it is my goal to give you the tools that will make you feel stronger and well-equipped at whatever stage you are in your journey. 

You may begin your journey with apprehension and the "what ifs" society bombards you with, but imagine finishing your journey feeling strong and confident to make the wise choices that are yours' to make.

Every pregnancy and birth experience is different. I believe everyone that is open-minded can have an amazing experience even if the journey takes unexpected turns and detours. This experience will be like no other!
